Transport Switzerland

Since the early fifties, Couwels & Co is the specialist for all kind of transports from and to Switzerland.
The founder Jos Couwels was one of the first to drive with a truck from Antwerp to Basel and today, we still work together with that same agent. But obviously, we have agents all  over the swiss border (Le Locle, Vallorbe/Orbe, Thayngen, Kreuzlingen,...)

Every day, we have more then 10 trucks on the road between the Benelux and Switzerland. We have 7 own trucks with belgian (and 1 french) drivers which makes communication at the loading and unloading places much easier.
Our own trucks are all EURO-6 trucks, the lowest emission on the market, and are all equiped with board computer and GPS which allows us to follow the trucks on line so we know at all time where your goods are situated.
The most important regions for us in Switserland are Geneve, Lausanne and Basel but as a swiss specialist, we can offer pick-up or delivery throughout the whole country.

The majority of our trucks are tautliners (curtain-slide) which allows you to load/unload your goods from the side, the back or the roof. In addition to our standard tautliners, we also have many megatrailers with an innerheight up to 3 meter.
Our drivers have all followed ADR training so we are able to transport your dangerous goods as well.
For temperature controlled goods on the other hand, we rely on our partners with frigo-trucks. For extra large, long, high or heavy goods, we count on our partners for exceptional transport.

Obviously, we also take care of the custom formalities which are needed if you do business with Switzerland.
We establish the exportdocument, importdocument, EUR-1 document, Transitdocument,... and arrange VAT and duties.
